Investment, Trading, Crypto and 'Easy Money' Scams
Verify the person, firm, investment and custody of assets independently. Never invest because a stranger, social-media contact or unsolicited message created urgency.
- Warning signs include guaranteed returns, no-risk claims, secret strategies, insider information, celebrity endorsements, AI trading claims, fake investment dashboards, pressure to deposit quickly and difficulty withdrawing funds.
- Fake platforms can display invented account balances and profits to encourage additional deposits.
- Recovery scammers may contact victims after an investment loss and promise to retrieve the money for an upfront fee.
