Spouse-to-Spouse and Family Financial Continuity
Continuity planning is a core component of wealth protection.
- Both spouses should know where accounts are held, how bills are paid, what insurance exists, who the advisers are, where estate documents are stored and what major assets and debts exist.
- One spouse should not be the sole source of financial knowledge.
- The goal is not for everyone to manage everything. The goal is for the family to remain functional if the primary financial manager becomes unavailable.
