Technology, Phishing and Account-Takeover Scams
Secure email and financial accounts with strong unique passwords, MFA, updated recovery information and transaction alerts. Never give an unsolicited caller remote access.
- Unexpected pop-ups and calls may claim a computer is infected or an account has been hacked.
- Scammers may request remote access, passwords, verification codes or payment.
- Email is particularly important because it can be used to reset other accounts.
